The Sweet Sound Of Success With Deep East Music

20160524_114219_resized-300x1691We must have been bitten by the music bug here at Austin’s Ices. Not only were we involved in this year’s X Factor auditions, we also recently worked with London-based company Deep East Music. Specialising in independent media, they’ve already made quite a name for themselves locally. Now they want to expand their reach to a national scale, and build a presence up North. Music is a highly competitive market, so it was going to take something extra special to get noticed. DEM knew this, and that’s exactly why they called us.  Ice cream is the way to everyone’s heart, after all. So who better to help you make an impact than the guys with the best selection of cool confections in all of the North West?

Deep East Music hired one of our ice cream vans for the day, and we got to work decorating the vehicle with their company colours and logo. Next, we put together an array of chilled treats that would really get people talking. Our giant selection of ices was sure to impress as always, but we also created branded wafers to add a truly memorable touch.

Thankfully, the savvy team at Deep East Music were way ahead of us there, and had a place in mind already. With their main focus being generating interest from potential new clients, they chose one of the country’s premier business parks, MediaCityUK. It was somewhere we were already very familiar with, so we knew right away that it was the perfect spot.

Upon arrival at our destination, we set up shop in the main plaza alongside four DEM representatives. The plan was to hand out free ice cream to anyone who happened to be passing by. It was a simple idea, but one that proved to be massively effective. The weather was warm and sunny, so there was no shortage of people with ice cream on their minds. Additionally, the Deep East Music reps were constantly active on social media, promoting the event and garnering a lot interest from the hundreds of people who were stuck in their offices and dreaming of ice cold relief. On top of all that, the DEM name and logo was also beaming down from a giant LED screen throughout the day. These Deep East Music folk definitely know how to get attention!

We ended up serving almost twice as many people as we’d originally estimated. Luckily we always come prepared, so there was more than enough Mr Whippy to go around!

The day was wildly successful and loads of fun to be a part of. Deep East Music were very happy with the results, and an absolute pleasure to work with. We must say, it’s always great to find people who are willing to pull out all the stops in order to achieve their ambitions. Hopefully this was the first of many team-ups between Deep East Music and Austin’s Ices. We know we’d be more than happy to work with them in the future.
