Austin’s Ices Children In Need give away!

In November last year Austin’s Ices got together with two other ice cream mobilers and decided to do something for charity. It was the month of Children In Need so they all travelled to Media City at Salford Quays, Manchester to meet with the ‘Children In Need’ man.

After a short discussion about what they could do to help they all travelled to five special need schools in Salford and Failsworth. After a day of serving free ice creams, the total number of children that had smiles on their faces must have totalled 500.

Austin said that “Seeing the children come out to get their ice creams was wonderful, whether they were helped out by staff or came on their own, the joy on their faces and the “Thank yous” that were spoken and signed were enough to make us want to do it again this year”
